As I’m getting into the details of designing my home, I started realizing that if I’m doing all this research to find “the perfect piece” in all areas of my home, why would I not share with you what I find? I am now considering myself your own personal shopper, so I hope you’re ready.
I’ve recently been re-designing the shelves in my office. I use to have only magazines on the shelves, but what I noticed is that those magazines started wilting and not standing up straight – my pet peeve. Symmetry is what I strive for and these mags were all over the place, so thank you next!
On those shelves, I wanted to mix a few prints with beautifully designed coffee table books and maybe a few other unexpected items. I picked up a few frames from IKEA (duh. that’s where all my frames are from) and went on the hunt for some coffee table books that fit my aesthetic, but were not the typical fashion books. I found a few favs and wanted to share with you. I feel like I have to note – I chose these purely on aesthetic and have no clue what they’re about. Most, I believe, are on architecture and furniture design, which I love. Maybe one day I’ll write my own aesthetically pleasing coffee table book. Would you buy it?
Here are my favorite coffee table books at the moment:
