Been working on seeing things with different perspectives lately. I mean EVERYTHING, but clothing just happens to be one of them. For example, I’ve been out thrifting more than normal, because I get excited when I find something truly unique that I can style and make feel new again. Just because it ends up at goodwill, doesn’t mean you can’t revive it.
I have seen a few people through social media style a longer shirt/dress over jeans and I absolutely love how tall it was making them look. I am 5’2″, so I take alllll the height I can get. When I found this dress at Forever 21, it was a no brainer. It would be perfect as a top (or also as a summer dress with a high slit).
When styling a dress as a shirt, I think the easiest way would definitely choose a dress with buttons down the middle or similar. You can half tuck it into the top of your pants, so it’s obvious it was styled as a shirt. I’ve also worn an oversized button down dress as a shirt paired with flow-y shorts and a belt and it was a good combo, that I will definitely be repeating.
